The Island Stroll CAL 2022
SistersInStitch + Yarn and Colors
“Come away with me and take a stroll by the sea and listen to the song of the ocean on the
docks. Lets saunter in the sunlight and feel the summer slowly arrive, and take a walk in the deep woods of the island. Let’s exhale and take some time to simply be, to relax and create. Let’s travel in the mind to the Swedish archipelago and all the beauty it has to show.”
Week 9. The Framing: Part 2
whoop whoop!
Week nine has arrived and we are now about to begin our stroll through the last six rounds of this beautiful framing of our five floral squares. After this week we will have finished their transformation into stunningly textured octagons with lots of sweetness, popcorns, puffs and bobbles.
Either make one round at a time for each five pieces: or eagerly do all six rounds for your favourite one before doing the others. No matter what way you choose to stroll; I know it’s gonna be awesome.
After finishing the framings on all five pieces; you should now have five large octagons: the Ponding Lily-, the Oh I Adore-, the Island Lily-, The L.A. Sunflower- and lastly the A Little Something Octagon.
All absolutely stunning and oh so rich in textures.
A little note before we begin:
For this week we will be using the same pattern for both the blanket and pillow, the only difference is the size of the yarn you are using: Super Must-Have or Must-Have.
Below you will find the downloadable pattern files: one in color and one as a printer friendly version. As we only know how to speak English (and Swedish) here at SistersInStitch: the pattern are written in US-terms and the comprehensive stitch by stitch tutorials will be shown in that too.
In the Island Stroll CAL: Stitch Guide you will find techniques, abbreviation and terminology lists to help you out a long the way, and they are including UK and Swedish shortenings!
