The After Effect Goes Granny Square is a lovely granny square designed by Therese Eghult for SistersInStitch.
Inspired by The Butterfly Effect CAL 2019 AND The After Effect Pillow we have created this lovely granny square to be used on its own or paired together with other squares. For example, it can be combined with an 8 rounds complimentary granny square (click here to go its pattern).

QUICK CLICKS
First we are going to create the centre of the square which consists of 4 medallions.
You can choose to either work them up one at a time; or to crochet all 4 medallions up until rnd 3 and then begin the joining.
We suggest that you cut the thread after finishing each round 4 (on all rows) and close with an invisible join to the second stitch for the neatest finish.

The joining method is the same for this square, but only worked with 4 medallions instead of 25.
